Flat racing is popular world wide. The most common breeds include the thoroughbred and the quarter horse. Pony racing is for riders 16 years old and under. Indian Relay is a type of flat racing run bareback and as a relay in which riders switch horses each lap of the track.

Team games include polo, polocrosse, and pony mounted games. Polo has 2 different types of competition- outdoor/grass, and arena. Arena polo also has school/college teams.
